Filling a few hours...

So, I've been thinking and thinking about the small set of oil paints that I've got stashed away. Last weekend I decided to dig them out along with a canvas. I put in a video with some pointers and set off...

This is what I did last weekend...

I don't think it's bad for a first time using oil paints. So, today I figured that I'd give it another go...

This time was a winter scene (something I've only ever seen in the movies, lol). The camera phone is never the best way to take pictures of these types of things, but I'll make do with what I've got, hehe.

In knitting news, I've been good at getting in a set amount of knitting time going on my friend's table cloth. If I keep up this rate, I'll be able to show an FO before too long!

Wow, no, not bad at all!

The snow looks good, but I wouldn't know about mountains, Michigan being extremely shy on mountains.

This is just to thank you for your comment on my blog... I have been watering at the mouth looking at your wheel and looking at what you are making on it and I just might be joining you very soon with one too:-)

Wow! Those are both lovely. (And I grew up in Canada - so you can't fool me with snow!)

Girl, you're the truest crafter that i ever met! You do crochet, sewing, knitting, and you have a thing for paiting too. Love the snow paiting. I know that image, i came from a country that has that in some places, and i miss that in christmas time.
