I'm so excited!
I have finally reached the half-way point on the body of the table cloth that I'm making for my friend! And, I've also reached the end of the first ball of yarn!
I'm particularly excited about how this has worked out because now the spot where I join the new ball is going to be neatly hidden in the corner of the table cloth. Plus, it also means that I'll only be using one ball for the rest of it.
The edging will, of course, be it's own battlefield of yarn balls, but the body is finally on the decline!
But, I am feeling a little restless with my knitting at the moment. I think it's time that I casted on for a new project. I don't know what it's going to be yet, but it is going to have to be something that's relatively small so that it'll be finished in a reasonable amount of time.
If my spinning was finished, then I would definitely have something to work on since I know what the end result is going to be with that yarn. I've been spinning on the 3rd bobbin, and although it is making progress, it's still a slow process. So, since it's not done yet, I'm itching to get going on something new!
With regards to the spinning, I am however happy to report that so far I've only had the single break once (unlike bobbin #2 that broke more times than I care to remember!), and this time I know the reason for it, so I won't be making that mistake again in the near future. I am also starting to wonder how different the silk will be when I start spinning on that. I can't wait!
In other news, I purchased 3 more canvases, so I'll be painting again really soon. I'm thinking that I might want to start selling them, just so that I can keep funding this new venture of mine! I might even then be able to move onto the bigger canvases than the 14" x 18" ones that I'm going to be working on.
Just the prospect of painting on bigger canvases is enough to get me really excited!

Yes, i think you should paint also, you've got the touch for it! Shame about the knitting, but we only have 24 hours a day!
