Busy times...

Things have certainly been very busy on this side of the world. I'll be starting at my new job on the 26th (Yay me!) and in the meantime, I've been very busy with the sewing needle.

I finally did the final finishing on my convertible mittens, so no more worrying about the ends coming out from their hiding spot anymore! I also changed buttons on a shirt, fixed hems and seams, and a whole lot of other things that I'd been threatening to do for a while now.

I also revisited the novelty yarn fling that was started back in September '07 and had another look at the end product that I was intending on frogging. Remember this...

Well, two sides were sewn up to create a bag of sorts...

I then laced a ribbon around the open side that I had purchased specifically for this yarn...

And then it was ready to be filled with my pajamas (winter pajamas in this instance since it's starting to get a bit chilly in the evenings here)...

It looks pretty sitting there on my bed...

alone, or with company...

Just looking at it, you'd never guess that it's storage for my pajamas!

In other news, I was blessed with a beautiful pair of socks! And just look how prettily they were presented...

You wouldn't believe me if I told you this, but I was actually planning on knitting myself a pair using a very similar pattern called the Twisted Tweed Socks! Don't they just look so amazingly similar?

Soooooo pretty!

And they fit really great too!!

Well, I think that's it for this installment. I better get to sleep ;)
