I forgot to add:

I finished the Not-So-Bulky Golden Compass Hood that I was knitting for my sister. LOL, I wasn't able to wait for Christmas for this one either before giving it to her...

Knitted up using two strands of sock yarn, it wasn't as bulky as it should have been, but I think it worked pretty well... and the important thing is that she's very happy with the end result.

Also, I've finally finished the body of the table cloth for my friend. I've just got to block it and then I'll start adding the edge lace to it. I hope to have this finished soon-ish, but don't yet know when I'll be motivated to get going on this again.

Hmm... yep, I think that's everything now, lol.

Catch Up

Things have been super busy on my side of the world. I just wish that it was all knitting related and not necessarily work related, lol.

On the plus side, I did manage to finish the Who? hat, but unfortunately I didn't get a picture of the finished item before taking it through to my dad. You see, the plan was originally to make it for Oupa Les (my paternal grandfather) for Christmas. But, since his health hasn't been so good lately, and with my dad going up-country to visit them, I figured it would be best if I sent it up now instead of waiting to send it later with the post.

I will ask my dad to take a picture of it though, which would be good actually since it will be a picture of it being worn by the intended recipient :)

In non-fibre news, I've been hard at work in my new position as bookkeeper at a flower exporter. Since business is currently slow on this side of the world (we are going into winter right now, lol), my boss had thought it would be a great time for me to create a website for the company. I personally think it turned out pretty good :) and I'm particularly proud of the product pages!

Anyways, I have started to knit up a lovely linen yarn, but I think that the pattern I chose isn't going to work with it, and I'm not too sure that I would wear the finished product. I think of other things that I would prefer to wear, lol.

I hope I'll be posting here more regularly since my life seems like it will be settling down a bit now again :)
